  1. Day 1

    On arrival in Kathmandu, meet our staff at airport and transfer to respected hotel.

    On reaching Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport meet our guide and office staff for transfer to your respective hotels in the center of Kathmandu around Thamel, the most exciting place in Nepal and probably around Asia.

    On checking in to your rooms with time to rest from Jet-Lag, then meet with other members of the group at the main meeting hall or lobby, where the guide will brief you with useful information regarding treks-hotels and necessary details.

    Evening a group dinner in a nice authentic Nepalese restaurant where you can enjoy folk culture program and dances of Nepal while having dinner.

  2. Day 2

    Fly to Lukla 2,820 m (30 mins flights) trek to Phakding 2,640 m (of Mano) - 05 hrs.

    As time for your flight normally early morning transfer to the domestic airport, where a short scenic flight takes you to land at Lukla, the starting and ending point of many adventures and treks around Khumbu and Everest region.

    From here walk begins on the nice pleasant path heading past nice Sherpa villages overlooking views of Kongde, and Kusum-Khanguru then reaching our overnight stop at Phakding (or Manjo).

  3. Day 3

    Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 04 hrs.

    From Phakding, morning on a gradual walk entering the pine forest to reach and cross over a long suspension bridge, and then reaching at nice village of Monjo, as the walk leads to a short distance to enter Sagarmatha National Park (Sagarmatha for Everest in Nepali while Sherpa calls as Chomolungma).

    As the walk continues into a river gorge covered in tall rhododendron pines and fir forest to cross the last and high bridge to reach Namche Bazaar, the trail follows on winding uphill facing views of Everest-Lhotse and Kongde peaks, then reaching at famous Namche Bazaar at the height of 3,440 m high, an ideal place for acclimatization and rest day.

    Namche Bazaar, is a major hub and town of Khumbu Sherpa, where a busy and active Saturday market is hosted once a week.

  4. Day 4

    Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.

    Rest day to support acclimatization a nice place to explore its scenic viewpoints or hike uphill to Everest View Hotel or short walk on top of Namche for fabulous scenery of landscapes with views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Amadablam with an array of peaks.

    At the top visit the interesting National Parks Museum where you can get good information about the Khumbu area along with the history and culture of the Sherpa people including information on flora and fauna with mountaineering expeditions.

  5. Day 5

    Trek to Tyangboche / Tengboche 3,867 m (or Deboche) - 05 hrs.

    At Namche Bazaar walk on the main trail towards Everest base camp as the route leads on the gradual scenic path and then descend to Phunge-Tenga close to Imjatse River covered by alpine forest an ideal spot for a lunch break.

    Afternoon climb into the cool forest on a winding uphill to reach scenic Tyangboche / Tengboche

    and its impressive monastery, located on a high hilltop surrounded by a range of

    peaks with facing views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Amadablam including adjoining  

    lesser mountain range.

    Once at Tyangboche enjoy a tour of the monastery with an interesting interior

    adorned by colorful Buddhist religious paintings and tapestry, fresco, impressive

    statues of Buddha and other famous Gurus.

  6. Day 6

    Trek to Dingboche 4,365 m (or Pheriche) - 05 hrs.

    From this beautiful spot of Tyangboche descend towards a river and crossing

    over a strong steel bridge with a slow climb up to Pangboche village facing close

    views of majestic Amadablam.

    After a brief stop at Pangboche which is the last permanent village, while further

    on the route are temporary settlements to cater to the needs of trekkers, as the walk follows

    uphill to Somare for a possible lunch stop with close views of Amadablam Peak and

    then on gradually up to reach a place where the Pheriche and Dingboche route splits.

     

    Walk carried on heading east with a short down to a river with a short up to

    reach Dingboche for an overnight stop, located within scenic Imjatse valley.

     

    Dingboche with many good lodges, where overnight stops for two days will be on

    best available lodge facing utmost views of mountains range with Island Peak.

  7. Day 7

    Another rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization and local hike.

    At Dingboche rest day to enjoy gorgeous views of the mountains as well for

    acclimatization,  take a short hike above Dingboche and Imjatse Valley for grand

    panorama of surrounding mountains includes Mt. Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, Nuptse,

    North Face of Amadablam with Island Peak or Imjatse Himal, afternoon free at

    leisure.

  8. Day 8

    Trek to Lobuche 4,890 m - 05 hrs.

    From Dingboche morning starts with a gentle up to reach a high ridge and then on a nice main trail to reach Thugla, with few houses that serve as Tea- House here great Khumbu glaciers melt into a raging river.

    A good spot for lunch stop, where the afternoon leads to a steep climb to a ridge top known as Thugla pass, here observe many tombs, and memorials of mountaineers and climbers to Everest or other close peaks, from here rest of the walk is easy on gentle trails to Lobuche for overnight stop, on best lodge available at this high altitude and rough terrains offers good views of Nuptse and Lobuche peaks.

  9. Day 9

    Trek to Everest Base Camp 5,364 m and at Gorakshep 5,180 m - 06 hrs.

    Morning walks and adventure take you beneath Mt. Everest at base camp, our route leads to a valley with a short climb above Khumbu glaciers, and then over a moraine of rocky dunes reaching Gorakshep, with a few lodges located on a junction of Everest base camp and Kalapatthar trails.

    This was an earlier Everest base camp from the 1950s to 1970s and then extended further in the corner of Khumbu glacier right beneath Everest, from Gorakshep walk for few hours over moraine and glaciers to reach our final destinations at Everest base camp within close to Nuptse-Lo la and Lhotse with massive Khumbu Ice Falls and glaciers.

    During the mountaineering peak season of April to May base camp will be busy with expeditions in full swing.

    Enjoy a great moment, then head back on the same trail to Gorakshep for an overnight stop.

  10. Day 10

    Morning climb Kalapathar at 5,545 m and then fly by helicopter from gorekshep Everest base camp to Kathmandu.

    Early morning uphill to reach on top Kalapatthar above 5,545 m high, the highest spot of our adventure, offers a sweeping panorama of peaks with Everest at close within stone throw distance.

    Enjoy grand views of the mountains scenery and descend to Gorakshep for breakfast, as our helicopter arrives at Gorakshep board for a scenic hour flight to reach back into the busy city life of Kathmandu, and then transfer to your respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure.

  11. Day 11

    International Departure homeward bound.

    Last day in Nepal after a wonderful experience and adventure around Nepal

    Himalaya and on Everest Base Camp Heli Trekking, as per your time transfer to

    Kathmandu International Airport for your onward flight back homeward or to your

    next respective destinations.

    What is the best Everest Base Camp hiking itinerary?

    The best Everest base camp trekking Itinerary of 12 / 13 days or a minimum of 11 / 12 days. Depending upon the itinerary for group departures or having a private tailor, customized itinerary.

    Normally one group joins the standard itinerary of 12 / 13 days, but will be good to have a few days more. The best itinerary has rest days in Namche Bazaar at 3,440 m and Dingboche at 4, 340 m. This makes trekking more enjoyable having time to acclimatize and explore the local culture.

    As well as having an average walking distance of a minimum of 3-4 hours to a maximum of 5-6 hours.

    How do we prevent altitude sickness at Everest Base Camp?

    The most standard itinerary provided on booking, have acclimatization days at certain designated overnight stops at high altitude. Which is best to prevent altitude sickness, and as precautionary measures against AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). As well as walking slow and steady, having short rest to enjoy the views, and catching your breath on the climb. Listening to advice from your guide or group leaders will make you feel safe and sound from altitude sickness.

    Do I need to train for the Everest Base Camp trek?

    It would be best to train before joining or departing from home for the Everest Base Camp trek. Training walking upstairs and downstairs, running, jogging, swimming, or joining aerobics class for an hour every day. As long you are physically fit and have sound health, you enjoy the trek to Everest base camp.

    Training before or after booking at least a month ahead will be best and adds extra stamina and power. This makes the walk on steep uphill easier for all to have good exercise before the trek departure.

    Do you need a guide for Everest Base Camp hiking?

    It would be much better to have a guide and join with reliable trekking company in Kathmandu. Where all necessary permits for the trek will be obtained, save you from the hassle of paperwork.

    One can trek to Everest base camp without a guide, depending upon one budget. But it is always wise and best to trek with a guide, authorized and recommended by the local company.

    The guide will help and show you the proper routes and provide information about the local culture. 

    As well the guide knows better the areas on the route. From the good lodge to stay and take care of when you are tired or sick.

    Do you need permission /permit for Everest Base Camp Treks?

    All visitors for treks around Nepal Himalayan destinations require trekking permits as well as Sagarmatha National Park permits.

    For the Everest base camp and other areas of high Khumbu, the village communities will issue the permits at Lukla. On top of trekking permits from Monjo village where Sagarmatha National Park entrance begins. Where all trekkers need to obtain park permits, on booking the trip from reliable agents in Kathmandu. The company will issue the permits and necessary documents required for the trek to the Everest base camp.

Everest Trek with Helicopter return

Never imagined it would be such a great adventure with enjoyable moments on the Everest base camp trek. What a smooth adventurous holiday with memorable moments and flying back on a scenic helicopter ride to Kathmandu.

A refreshing holiday in Nepal Himalayas, after the pandemic a great
adventure to Everest base camp trek. Then return back to Kathmandu in
the comfort of a Helicopter, a great way to enjoy the adventure.

Excellent arrangement and chosen the right clear time for panoramic Everest trekking with Helicopter return Flight after Everest Base Camp hike.

It was a mind-blowing experience, oh what a view standing beneath the world’s tallest Mt. Everest and other high peaks.
